We are aware that one of the Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission’s co-chairs, Michael Lockwood, stepped down from his role as Director General for the Independent Office for Police Conduct on 2 December.
Michael has also offered his resignation as co-chair of the Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission. We have today accepted his resignation, and we will be writing to bereaved families, survivors and local residents about next steps in the coming days.
The Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission is continuing its vital work with the community to determine a fitting memorial to those who lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
