Memorial design workshops for bereaved families, survivors and the immediate community
Freehaus lead the multi-disciplinary design team who will work with the community and the Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission to determine a bold and fitting memorial at the Grenfell Tower site.
Since Freehaus were appointed in November, they have met with several bereaved and survivor families, and members of the immediate community, and are grateful for them sharing their thoughts and questions. From these early conversations.
Following initial introductory discussions with the bereaved and survivors in late 2025 and the start of this year, more structured, memorial design workshops for the bereaved, survivors and immediate community started in February. Full details about these workshops were sent to bereaved families and survivors and will shortly be sent to members of the immediate community.
